The Garmons are a Southern Gospel group with deep roots in music and faith. Their journey began with individual musical experiences, later culminating in their family ministry. Rebecca Fields, an accomplished performer, Christian, and educator, brings her expertise in music education to the group. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Murray State University and a Master’s from Western Kentucky University, Rebecca has made a significant impact as a teacher and soloist. Alongside her husband, Brent, their children, Andrew and Elizabeth, also join in the ministry, lending their voices to recent projects.
Debra Garmon has a lifelong passion for Southern Gospel, inspired by childhood memories of church homecomings and the soulful music that filled the air. As a Christian and songwriter, Debra has contributed to the group with original songs that honor God, some of which have been published in songbooks and recorded by other artists. She plays the piano, helps with song arrangements, and sings alongside her husband, Kerry. Together, they create a beautiful harmony that blends their love for gospel music and their faith.
Kerry Garmon, who began singing Southern Gospel music at the age of eight, has a rich history in quartet music. His early musical roots were nurtured by his family and their participation in church services. Kerry has been an integral part of the gospel music scene, performing in various groups, including the Sword and Shield quartet and The Seekers. After Rebecca joined the group in 1998, the Garmons established themselves as a family ministry, continuing to sing and serve together in worship. Their music is a reflection of their shared passion for spreading the gospel message through song.

Rebecca has been an active performer since she was a young girl and became a Christian at 9 years old. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Murray State University and her Master’s in Music Education degree and completed a Rank I certification in Secondary Education at Western Kentucky University. She worked as the graduate assistant for Dr. Paul Hondorp from 2008-2010 and was named the Potter College of Fine Arts Graduate of the year for 2010. Rebecca currently teaches Choir, General Music, and Guitar at Drakes Creek Middle School in Bowling Green, KY and teaches private voice and piano lessons. She is an active soloist/musician at her church and with the local Orchestra Kentucky Chorale. She and her husband, Brent, have a son named Andrew and a daughter named Elizabeth.
Debra Garmon has always had a love for Southern Gospel Music since she was a little girl. She has fond memories of the times her parents took her to homecoming services where they served “dinner on the ground” followed by an afternoon of singing that good ol’ gospel music. She has been a Christian since early childhood and loves writing music to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Some of her songs have been published in songbooks for the Cumberland Valley School of Gospel Music and recorded by The Hayes Family and others. Several of the songs on our cd entitled, “Bless The Lord,” were written by Debra. She also sings, helps with song arrangements, and plays the piano for our group. Debra is also actively involved in her church where she sings in the choir and serves as a pianist.
Kerry Garmon began singing southern gospel music in a quartet in 1972. He became a Christian at age 8 during revival services led by his uncle, Durwood Garmon, and Kerry's dad, Ralph Garmon. Kerry's father took him to homecomings, decoration services and singings as young as 5 years old where he heard the wonderful harmony. He sang tenor in the Sword and Shield quartet, a group he helped form during his junior year in high school and later, after graduating, with the Messengers. He met his wife, Debra, while singing with the Kentucky Harmoneers in the late 1970’s. Kerry and Debra sang with The Seekers in the 90's until their daughter Rebecca entered high school and was involved with the school marching band. Kerry, Debra, and Rebecca began singing together doing specials in the church service around 1998. After Rebecca graduated from Murray State, she expressed an interest in singing with her parents. They have been singing as an established group since 2012.
Mark Cline plays the bass guitar. Music has been a big part of Mark’s life from an early age. His love for groups like The Oak Ridge boys and The Rambos gave him an appreciation for great bands, harmonies, and well written lyrics. Though starting in gospel music, he played full time in country and rock-n-roll bands until age 30 when he came to know Jesus as his personal Savior and Lord. Returning to his gospel roots, he has spent the last 25 years playing bass guitar and singing with Greater Desire, True Call, and Southland.
Musical influences include a wide array of gospel, blues, country, and rock-n-roll artists, but the groups that most shaped Mark’s approach to his music are The Oak Ridge Boys, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Alabama. Mark lives in Franklin, KY with his wife Lisa. They have 2 sons, Garrett and Darrick, daughter-in-laws, Jacq and Elizabeth, and grandsons, Issac and Isaiah. Garrett, Darrick, and Jacq are members of contemporary Christian group “CLINE”.
